Avena sativa (Oatstraw) is one of the most nutritive herbs to the nervous system especially when it comes to exhaustion due to stress. Rich in B vitamins and magnesium which help to soothe and strengthen our nerves.
Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower) depresses the central nervous system, reducing any nervous tension and restlessness when it comes to sleep. It is known to promote a peaceful sleep without feeling groggy upon waking.
Lavandula spp (Lavender) lavender's actions can be attributed mainly to the strong calming aroma it gives off. Sipping on a tea made with lavender can help calm the anxious mind helping to enable to a better perspective. It is this calmness that helps us reach a deep sleep.
Valeriana officinalis (Valarian) a mild sedative that will reduce nervous tension that is disrupting our sleep. Helping to sedate those who are especially anxious.
Scoop 1-2 teaspoons into your favorite mug. Add 250ml of hot water. Let steep covered for 10-15 minutes. Sip slowly and enjoy thoroughly.
