Schisandra chinensis (Schisandra) is also known as the five flavoured fruit, for it consists of every flavour in TCM, working on every energy centre in our body. As an adaptogen, schisandra is able to reduce stress throughout our body. It can help improve our focus and cognitive functions while resisting a stress response.
Avena sativa (Oatstraw) is one of the most nutritive herbs to the nervous system especially when it comes to exhaustion due to stress. Rich in B vitamins and magnesium which help to soothe and strengthen our nerves.
Lavandula spp (Lavender) lavender's actions can be attributed mainly to the strong calming aroma it gives off. Sipping on a tea made with lavender can help calm the anxious mind helping to enable to a better perspective.
Matricaria recutita (Chamomile) works at tonifying the nervous system, but has a carminative action. Making this herb very soothing to the digestive tract, especially for a nervous belly.
1 teaspoon per 250ml of hot water. Steep covered for 3-5 minutes.
