HELP / FAQS

General

What is loose leaf tea?

Loose leaf tea is a bit different from your conventional tea. Loose leaf tea uses larger pieces of the plant and it doesn’t come prepackaged in tea bags. Tea found in tea bags is typically the ‘dust’ of the plant parts.

What is herbal tea?

Herbal tea, also known as a tisane, is a tea made from the infusion of plant parts - leaves, buds, flowers, roots.. They are caffeine free and have been used as natural remedies for centuries.

How frequently can I have herbal tea?

We believe that having a cup of herbal tea a day is best! The more frequent,  the better the therapeutic effects. Herbal teas are full of vitamins, minerals and provide a level of hydration that most of us lack.

Do any of your teas contain caffeine?

Yes. Even though our roots are based in our coveted herbal teas, we have a line of caffeinated classics. We only use organic green and black tea leaves to ensure the health benefits remain strong.

Can I wholesale your products?

Yes of course! Our wholesale program is robust when it comes to tea. If you’re a shop, grocer, cafe or restaurant, reach out to us for more information.

Can we collaborate with you?

We love spreading the benefits of plant medicine. If you’re interested in collaborating with us, reach out to our team!

What’s the best time of day to have a tea?

In our opinion - anytime. However we like to follow a few healthy rules. If the tea contains caffeine - keep in mind that caffeine has a half life of 5-10 hours depending on your body. This means that even though you had a cup at 12pm, the caffeine is still in your body for 5-10 hours.

We like to keep our caffeine confined to before 12pm and switching to herbal teas in the afternoon and evening.

Where can I see the list of ingredients?

The list of ingredients is listed on the front and back of each tea pouch and on each product page. It may seem strange to not see any added ingredients, but our teas contain only plants and nothing else.

Are your products gluten free?

The botanicals themselves are gluten free, however, depending on where they were processed, the risk of contamination with gluten is always present.

Do your products contain any sugar?

None of our products contain any natural or added sugar.

Do your products contain any artificial ingredients?

None of our products contain any artificial ingredients. .

Are your teas safe if I’m pregnant and breastfeeding?

We are unable to provide advice on this. We recommend that you ask your practitioner if the tea is safe for you.

Are your teas safe if I’m on prescription medications?

We are unable to provide advice on this as well. We recommend that you ask your practitioner if the tea is safe for you.

Can I blend two or more of your teas together?

Of course you can, that’s the beauty of plant medicine. We encourage you to experiment and find what works for you.

Why does my tea taste or look different from the last pouch?

When we are using organic or wildcrafted botanicals, it’s not uncommon to receive a shipment that looks slightly different from the last. Even though they may look or taste slightly different, the benefits of the plant remain.

Our botanicals are sourced from all over the world where the specific plant grows best.

Does my tea have an expiration date?

Our teas are good for up to 24 months when kept in a cool, dark place. Please don’t store above your fridge or beside your stove - the heat will slowly exhaust the herbs leaving them with little to no benefit!
